Editorial & Corrections Policy
Last updated: June 1, 2026
There Are No Kings publishes political commentary and side-by-side juxtapositions that highlight apparent contradictions in the public statements and actions of public figures. This policy explains how we source, review, and correct our content.
Opinion and commentary
Our characterizations — calling something a "hypocrisy" or "contradiction" — are statements of opinion based on disclosed facts. We present the underlying material (quotes, clips, posts) with links so readers can evaluate the comparison themselves and reach their own conclusions.
Sourcing standards
- Every published item must link to at least one primary or reputable source for each side of the comparison.
- We prefer original sources — a public figure's own post, video, speech, or vote — over second-hand summaries.
- We capture permalinks at the time of review so claims remain traceable even if the original is later deleted.
- We focus on public figures acting in a public capacity, not private individuals.
Review process
Content reaches the site through community submissions and automated discovery tooling. Nothing is published automatically. A human editor reviews each item for accuracy, sourcing, fairness, and tone before it goes live. Writer-submitted articles are reviewed and either published (with author attribution) or returned with feedback.
Fairness
We aim to represent statements in context and avoid misleading edits. Satire or clearly labeled opinion pieces are identified as such. We do not target private individuals or publish private personal information.
Corrections
We correct errors promptly. If you believe we have published something inaccurate or missing context:
- Contact us via the contact page with the URL and a description of the issue.
- Material factual errors are corrected and the item is updated with a brief correction note where appropriate.
- If a claim cannot be adequately sourced, we remove it.
- We aim to respond to correction requests within a reasonable time, typically a few business days.
Right of reply
Public figures featured on the site may submit a response or clarification through our contact page. We will consider reasonable replies and, where warranted, append or link them to the relevant item.
Takedowns
Copyright and other legal removal requests are handled per the instructions on our contact page.
